More Good News

Recently, I completed the fourth drafts of Effects II and of my stage play H.G. Wells: Time Machine! Both of those have been long overdue, and both, have been sent off to the producers for possible production (Effects II) and approval (Time Machine).

Finally, I get to move on to revising the screenplay I am most passionate about, the story I am going to pursue this year as my second feature film, An Unworthy Man. Simultaneously however, I have been given the charge of writing a treatment for an investor who’s interested in looking at an idea of mine for a Western film. I wish I could give out details, but that might work against me in the long run. Sometimes it’s good to keep things close to the vest, even on a site as self serving as this one.

Also, the title sequence I designed and directed for the soon to be released A Killing on Brighton Beach is nearly complete. Hopefully, I’ll have a preview up on the site soon.

Expect more details on An Unworthy Man as they come in, for soon, that little idea will be all consuming.

Israel and Effects II

After many months of lag in the creative sector, several exciting bits of news from both the writing and directing fronts are worth reporting.

First, The Chase has been accepted into the Icon Film Festival all the way over in Israel. From September 28 through the 4th of October, the festival goes live in Tel Aviv, celebrating sci-fi and fantasy films! For all of you swinging over to the Middle East around that time, check it out.

Also, just two weeks ago, my screenplay, As Long as I Live, has gone over to a production studio, in Indonesia of all places, to be considered for production.

On top of this most excellent development, today was very productive as I have just completed the third draft of Effects II, the officially sanctioned sequel to the cult classic, Effects (AKA The Manipulator). This week, once my partner has given the script a read through, it will be off to the original creators to be considered for further development and quite possibly production.

As with anything, only time will tell.
