GEEK-OUT!

Many moons ago I was invited to participate as a guest host on my friend Jonathan London’s web series Geekscape, a place for all nerdom, geekdom and awesomedom!

The segment was over an hour long and much was discussed, but I’ll keep it under 11 minutes so you can just get an idea of the show… which is awesome, and by awesome, I mean totally sweet.

I’ll add more segments as the days go by, and this one does end a bit abruptly, but I think you’ll all enjoy us geeking out, discussing Dragon Fire, my animated series, the writer’s strike and how silver underwear gets you action after watching movies about rape.  But more on that later!

(RETRACTION – I do not think my friend’s family is ACTUALLY waspy.  They’re the best!  But I do stand behind my family being totally crazy)

Geeking-out…

Luke 11:17

So,

I’d like to pay tribute to Jeremy Weiss, a director friend of mine who’s making some really great web content at this very moment.  Luke 11:17 is the only good, thriller web series on the internet.  Endorsed by Wes Craven himself, you should all check out Luke 11:17 and dive into the mad, mad, mad, mad world of… LUKE!

Below is is my favorite episode.  Maybe it’s because I like chains.

And here is the Halloween trailer for the two part finale!  SO REAL IT SMELLS!

Phil Abatecola will keep these short and sweet, because that’s how Phil Abatecola likes it and Phil Abatecola knows that’s how you like it.

Now I haven’t seen many films this year due to my schedule, but what I have seen has left me either pissed or elated.  It’s like being trapped in a dream where you dye your hair but burn your eyes out.  I mean, you get the color you’ve always wanted, but then what good is it?  In any case, here’s what I’ve seen.

STILL ORANGUTANS

I wish I could celebrate the bold use of camera, set design and staging.  I wish I could throw this film around, shouting to everyone that it’s a must see, because that’s what I heard.  But I can’t.  Done in one shot, which is impressive, the film is practically unwatchable.  Why?  Because there’s no story.  Nothing to grab on to.  You don’t care about a single individual because they’re nothing more than two-dimensional buffoons!  In fact, I found it Read more »
